Medical VA procurement red flags

Notice claims you cannot verify.

Practice Standards Review editorial team · Updated 8 November 2026

The decision

Pause when a provider promises an outcome without explaining the staffing, workflow or measurement behind it. Claims such as instant compliance, guaranteed revenue or universal EHR expertise need evidence tied to the actual service and candidate.

What to compare

Ask questions when the billing unit is unclear, the replacement promise has no written terms or the candidate cannot explain how they would escalate an uncertain task. These are reasons to investigate, not automatic proof of misconduct.

Before you commit

Use a consistent evidence trail: public source, dated quote, interview notes and agreed onboarding checklist. A provider willing to explain its limits is easier to evaluate than one whose offer changes whenever you ask for detail.
